Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church MBS
Ministries

MBS emphasizes the call of all Catholics to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ and the Church to the entire world.

Please join us in sharing your gifts and talents from God with the rest of the community... More
Alter Society
Ladies who prepare our place of worship. They take great care in maintaining and preparing the altar for services. They also share in spiritual, service and social activities.

Altar Servers
Both girls and boys, upon reaching fifth grade, are eligible to be altar servers. Becoming an alter server offers a challenge and a reward as it is a very important role. Serving requires you to actively participate and assist in the mass. Serving at the altar is a privilege, not a right. Always conduct yourself in a way that commands respect, keep an attitude of honor and respect to God.

CCD
A religious education program for elementary school children who attend public school. Preparation for the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation are part of the religious education program

Choir
Making beautiful music together that will praise the lord, inspire the congregation to sing and unite the community in prayer are the objectives of this ministry. The Choir sings each week at the 11:00 AM Mass

Eucharistic Ministers
This ministry is a great way to assist the priest during Mass. Our Eucharistic Ministers help to distribute the Body and Blood of Christ as needed. Training is provided. Eucharistic Ministers can also additionally or optionally be trained in taking communion to the sick and homebound.

Greeters (Hospitality)
The hospitality ministry is a great way to meet more members of Most Blessed Sacrament. Our goal is to provide a warm welcome to all who join us at mass. A hospitality minister greets, and helps to introduce different members of the community to one another. This ministry is a great way to serve your brothers and sisters in Christ.

Lectors
Becoming a Lector gives you the opportunity to proclaim the living Word of God during Mass. Proclaiming the Word of God is an integral part of our Mass. Lectors will share the readings with another Lector at each of the weekend Masses. Adequate preparation assures the Word will be delivered in an enlightening way.

Sick & Homebound
Volunteers assist the Sick and Homebound of the parish by checking on them while offering a ear to listen, taking communion, and  help with household services (cut grass, clean house, etc.) if needed.

Ushers
Ushers distribute Sunday bulletins as members leave church, help late comers find seats, and collect the offering during Mass. Ushers are also responsible for putting pews in order after the services and taking attendance count.

Gift-Bearer
At each Mass the host and wine are delivered  to the priest at mass for consecration. It is an honor to participate in mass by being a gift bearer and representing God’s people and the MBS community.

For more information on any of these Ministries, contact the Parish Office.

Most Blessed Sacrament depends upon its volunteers. Without the many caring and committed volunteers, our Parish would be nothing. For that reason, you are cordially invited to become a part of our volunteer community.

Through this volunteer Stewardship, you are asked to give your "Time, Talent, and Treasure". Although not everyone has the same amount of "Treasure" to give, we all can, and should, give our "Time" and "Talent" to our Parish.

Why should you consider Stewardship? Why is it important? What's in it for you? You may ask yourself these questions, yet the answer is simple. In return, you will attain a feeling of joy and satisfaction, a sense of pride and honor, and the priceless realization that you are serving God, and one another.

Please think about the many opportunities that are available to you. You may become involved in as many Ministries as you wish, however please at least choose one. Thank You.
Sincerely,
Tari Hendrickson
