Community

Throughout the year our church reaches out to the community helping provide for those in need and offering events that bring the whole neighborhood together to celebrate.

MBS also provides monetary donations all year long to various Catholic charities and to community efforts like our local Crusade for Children drive that raises money for handicapped children.

Angel Tree
This is a great community effort that reaches out to children and families in need at Christmas time. Members of the Parish can select a name from the Angel Tree and help provide for the listed needs of that child.

Easter Egg Hunt
Our traditional Easter egg hunt on the parish grounds provides a fun time for our young children.

Fall Festival
The annual fall festival provides fun and good food for those that attend, usually a large crowd of parishioners, old friends returning and visitors from all around come and enjoy the fall evenings at our indoor and outdoor booths and activities.

Palm Sunday Pot Luck supper
This get-together on Palm Sunday is a community dinner for parishioners with meat & drinks furnished by the Parish clubs and every family brings their favorite dish. It provides and opportunity to meet and share a good time with those of our parish.

Summer Picnic
Another community event for everyone, full of good food and good times visitors come from all around to enjoy the warm summer days and picnic activities. Many of the booths are indoor at our air conditioned pioneer hall. Rain or shine fun!

Thanksgiving Baskets
Before Thanksgiving our church provides a food drive that collects non perishable food items to be given to families in need.
